An angel...
The most amazing and beautiful thing just happened, and it shows you the power of God and the holidays. An angel named Lisa came and gave us her Christmas tree. the think is like 7feet tall and smells lovely. She also gave us the stand and ornaments to go with it. Thank you Auntie Lisa!

Empress Rose has Coffee...
I love this book. It's my baby. I think I have the coolest morning routine ever. I get up around 6:30, 7-ish, and then I go to the computer and write. After around an hour I make coffee and drink it even after it freezes in the cup. Is it just me or does it seem like coffee gets colder faster and in a less pleasant manner than other beverages? And does it seem slimy when it goes down your gullet? (Heh-heh, gullet.) BTW, the above is a pic I took (of another pic) but could never find again of a girl that looks kinda like the girl in my book.

Spiny Beefeeduh
Hi! It's Maddy's time to have a post. Mad over here has a condition called Spiny Beefeeduh; it's a rare condition that makes you super gorgeous. Not kidding, boys, watch out she's a heartbreaker. And she gets even more gorgeous with every suuurrrgggeeerrryyy. I like surgery.
She's had metal implants in her hips! She's gorgeous. OMG.
But in reality, she has spina bifida. and she's still gorgeous. If she is still so gorgeous after 26 surgeries, you can be gorgeous with none.
Kitty...
Seriously, I've had the word/name Kitty stuck in my head forever! Really it's a pain, always having the word on the tip of my tongue and in the back of my mind. So many characters in my head are temporarily dubbed Kitty until I find suitable names for them.
Which brings me to this; i love naming Characters. It's the best part of writing a book. The best names are ones that aren't used often, like really old names. A lot of my characters are named for specific traits or attitudes.

It's the HOLI-days for a reason...
Hello people that follow this brog! I noticed something today that bothers me. I think I should point out that I learned a fraction of what Americans spend on presents every year could buy clean water for the world, not kidding! I love presents, I'm not gonna lie. But I don't think that it's the most important part of the holidays either. Please remember that no matter what you celebrate this season, be it Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, or Dec. 25, it's the love and joy that the season brings. So don't do your homework! Don't read a book! Chill with your family, eat some gingerbread, drink some nog, and make merry!

Excerpts! My Lewis Caroll tribute story
She looked around. "Okay...I have no idea where I am."
"You're in Wonderland," said a raspy harsh voice. Claire whirled around and looked in the trees to see a teenager with deep burgundy red hair and a fedora on his head. He wore a black suit with a red shirt underneath. His sneakers were black and white like the ones she had in her bag, but instead of a star on the side like hers there was a cat that had been colored in red marker.
She looked up at him, resting on a tree branch in a lazy manner, his lips turned up in a mischievous grin. "Who are you?" she asked him.
"Cheshire Jack," he said, his raspy voice toned by an Irish accent.
"Is that like the CHeshire Cat?"
"You knew my father?"
"Your father was a cat?"
"No," he said, rather offended sounding. "His name was Cat though."
"That's weird," she said. "You said I was in Wonderland?"
"No, you are in Wonderland," he corrected.
"Whatever, can you tell me how to get back to New York?"
"Why not old York?" he asked.
"Goodbye," she said, grabbing her bag and walking away.
The Holidays!
It's the holidays!

And I love Alice! (TM of whoever owns it, which is not me!)
Seriously, Scorsone is a doll! And the Hatter was awesome! But I think that the real star of the whole thing was The White Knight. His zany antics broke the crushing tension in the intense scenes with his wannabe psychic powers.

French Watered Silk
Kitty!
Did you know that Watered silk (also called Moire) is called that not because it's wet, but because the way it's woven makes it look like water with ripples on it? Not kidding!
Look at this gown!

The holidays...
Did you know that Christmas as we think of it is a rather new idea? Santa and the commercialization of Christmas did not exist until the mid-Victorian era. Queen VIctoria popularized the German tradition of filling a tree with lit candles, hence, the Christmas tree.
